AI Methodology

How answers are built. GoldGPT answers gold questions with an AI model that is given the current GoldGPT price record, FX rates, deterministic calculator results and retrieved sources (news, reference articles and our Learn library). Numbers in an answer come from those inputs, not from the model's memory. Prices. The model is told the price's source, timestamp and status. If the price is not live, the answer must say so. We never ask the model to invent or estimate a spot price. Calculations. Jewellery, melt and conversion figures are computed by fixed formulas (see Calculation Assumptions) and shown as cards; the model only explains them. Sources. Citations shown under an answer are the documents actually retrieved for that answer. We do not fabricate citations. If no reliable source is available, the answer says that. Facts vs interpretation. Market explanations separate reported facts from interpretation and uncertainty. GoldGPT does not give personalised investment advice or price forecasts. Fallbacks. If an AI provider fails, GoldGPT falls back to another provider or to a source-and-calculator summary. It never fills the gap with made-up numbers. Limits. AI output can be wrong. Verify important decisions with a qualified professional and a local dealer quote.
