Every number GoldGPT publishes comes from one of the sources below, or is calculated by us from them. The source name and the price timestamp travel with each figure on the site, in chat and through the AI assistant connector. Spot gold price — api.gold-api.com. International spot gold in USD per troy ounce. Requested live, cached for up to 1 minute; if the feed is unreachable we serve the last good value for up to 10 minutes and label it accordingly. Used for every rate, calculator and comparison. Currency conversion — open.er-api.com. FX rates used to convert USD spot into INR, AED, GBP, EUR, SGD, SAR, AUD, CAD, CHF, JPY and other supported currencies. Cached briefly alongside the price. Market tickers and trend data — Yahoo Finance public quote endpoints (query1.finance.yahoo.com). Gold futures, related tickers, index levels and short-term price history shown on the Markets screen and in sparklines. Market news headlines — Google News and Yahoo Finance public RSS feeds. Headlines, publishers and links used in the news feed, in the daily briefing and as citations in answers. GoldGPT links to the publisher; we do not republish full articles. Daily briefing text — written by an AI model from the deterministic live price and the headlines above. The spot price and the 24-hour change in a briefing are always the measured figures, never model output; any AI sentence containing a conflicting price is rejected before publishing. GoldGPT calculations — derived by us, not quoted by any source: per-gram and per-tola conversion, purity conversion (24K, 23K, 22K, 21K, 18K, 14K, 10K, 9K), jewelry price with wastage, making charges, discount and tax, melt value and the 92–98% dealer buyback band. The formulas are published on the Calculation Assumptions page. What we do not have. GoldGPT does not carry LBMA benchmark fixings, exchange-settlement prices, or any jeweller's or dealer's own quoted retail rate.
